Bouvier des Flandres

"Cluny, my beloved Bouvier des Flandres...
was a true alpha bitch, not terribly large, very sharp and alert, with good eyesight,
high prey drive and a love of water. She dominated the other dogs, went about 50-50
with my husband (whom she loved nevertheless) and reluctantly acknowledged my
alpha-bitch-plus status, while still preferring to sleep on my pillow rather
than at the foot of the bed."

Dear Lord, please open your gates
and call St. Francis
to come escort this beloved companion
across the Rainbow Bridge.
Assign her to a place of honor,
for she has been a faithful servant
and has always done her best to please me.
Bless the hands that send her to you,
for they are doing so in love and compassion,
freeing her from pain and suffering.
Grant me the strength not to dwell on my loss.
Help me remember the details of her life
with the love she has shown me.
And grant me the courage to honor her
by sharing those memories with others.
Let her remember me as well
and let her know that I will always love her.
And when it's my time to pass over into your paradise,
please allow her to accompany those
who will bring me home.
Thank you, Lord,
for the gift of her companionship
and for the time we've had together.
And thank you, Lord,
for granting me the strength
to give her to you now.
Amen.

Sadie
Scottish Terrier
10-22-98 - 04-22-10
"My Sassy Sadie, Queen of the Last Word, crossed over the Rainbow Bridge.
I held her and whispered I love you in her ear even though she was deaf. Sadie
brought to us so much joy for 13 1/2 years. She was an independent spirit,
loved to ride in the car, had to have a whole seat to herself, the last word
and had us so trained to fulfill her every wish. When she spoke, we asked and
complied. Our couch will never be the same as that was her throne and the door
ways if she chose to park there. She would not move, you stepped over.
Sadie was a true Scottie fighting her illness this last year. The cancer just
got bigger than her. We were very blessed to have been appointed her care taker,
understanding that she was on loan from the Heavens above. Today she returned.
I know she was greeted with an abundance of wagging tails, Ruffles, Casey, Andy
and Tucker along with a host of others she has met along the way.
We feel such a void, our hearts hurt. We miss her so much.
Hugs and Kisses to you Sweet Sadie.

"We bid goodbye today to Bohdi as his battle with Cancer caught up with him and he was too weak to continue...
There are no words for how I feel, other than you have all been through this too.
Bohdi knew when we rescued him from the high rise in Manhatten overlooking the river,
1 block from the world trade center, god was looking out for him. We rescued him before 2001.
Four of the Tucker Scottie's are rescue's, when adding to your pack listen to your heart and remember ~~

I Stood By Your Bed Last Night
I stood by your bed last night,
I came to have a peek.
I could see that you were crying,
You found it hard to sleep.
I whined to you softly
as you brushed away a tear,
"It's me, I haven't left you,
I'm well, I'm fine, I'm here."...
I was close to you at breakfast,
I watched you pour the tea,
You were thinking of the many times,
your hands reached down to me.
I was with you at the shops today,
Your arms were getting sore.
I longed to take your parcels,
I wish I could do more.
I was with you at my grave today,
You tend it with such care.
I want to reassure you,
that I'm not lying there.
I walked with you towards the house,
as you fumbled for your key.
I gently put my paw on you,
I smiled and said "it's me."
You looked so very tired,
and sank into a chair.
I tried so hard to let you know,
that I was standing there.
It's possible for me
to be so near you everyday.
To say to you with certainty,
"I never went away."
You sat there very quietly,
then smiled, I think you knew,
in the stillness of that evening,
I was very close to you.
The day is over...
I smile and watch you yawning
and say "good-night, God bless,
I'll see you in the morning."
And when the time is right
for you to cross the brief divide,
I'll rush across to greet you
and we'll stand, side by side.
I have so many things to show you,
there is so much for you to see.
Be patient, live your journey out ...
Then come home to be with me.

Major Tom
Cockatiel
RB June 21, 2010
25 yrs old
"I don't think I even believed that Major Tom would ever die. He's never been sick one
day of his 25 years. He's just always been there, over half my life. He's lived through so many of my scotties.
I remember how Max used to walk right up to him, and Major Tom would pull one of Max' hairs from his beard.
Max would jump back in surprise, and then walk right back up to Major Tom and let him do it again. Cassie used
to arroo at him while he talked to her. Dillon would just watch him, like he couldn't figure out why he was in jail.
My favorite Major Tom memory was one evening while we were eating spaghetti for dinner, and Major Tom was on
the table. He kept eyeing the food with interest. I thought he might walk to my plate and take a bite, but boy was
I wrong. He jumped and landed right in the middle of my plate of sphagetti. He was covered in sauce, but he was one
happy bird as he was cleaning his feathers.
Major Tom, I hope you are at the Bridge with all your wonderful Scottish friends, and give Max's beard a
tug for me."

Karey of Little Bit Farm CGC
"Karey"
Scottish Terrier
April 8, 1997 - August 3, 2010
"She was my right hand helper. We put
up a lot fence that summer. She carried white paint speckles on the top of her
head a lot. Lots of pictures of her with fawns. She was my foot warmer on
camping trips, she slept in the bottom of the sleeping bags. Lap warmer while
sitting in the barn on foal watch. She was always my bed dog, tucked up close."
"She was the grand dam of the farm. Always ready for a walk. Always ready to jump
up and lick an unsuspecting human nose as they bent down to greet her. She was
also willing to tell any dog, size didn't matter, where to go. Anything for a
car ride. Tried to convince her that a pony cart was a good thing to ride on but
she didn't buy that."
"Went down to the creek.... Out of no where, 2 white doves appeared. Haven't seen
doves here in a couple years. They took 3 or 4 quick circles above us and then
headed north. Can only assume that she and Darby are up to mischief someplace.
Was hoping she would be here to guide her nieces and nephew in their lessons,
but it was not meant to be."

Wynnedham's Molly Malone
"Molly"
Scottish Terrier
4-20-98 to 9-24-10
"Molly was a darling girl. We always called her, "Molly, she who incited to riot"
for as a youngster she was so much fun and mischief. We were always laughing at her antics.
She was feisty compared to the always "dignified" Angus, Seamus, Megan and Brewster. She
always wanted to be alpha and had too settle for fourth place in the Main Line Five. She
loved children and folded her ears "origami style" and squiggled with joy over having a
grandchild's visit. When Brewster came to live with us Molly became his Mum and this was
her baby. She was gentle and loving and watched over him.
With all the tears we cherish the memories of this precious girl, our first little
"Sweetie Wheatie" we count ourselves blessed that we had the honor of having her in our home
and hearts. "

"Libby"
Scottish Terrier
RB 9-29-10
"She was always by my side, a ready head to rest my hand on. Never cross,
the perpetual tail rotation like a helicopter blade, the little growls almost like
a loud purr would greet me every morning. Little front legs lifting off the floor
in pure happiness, my little low rider.
Sheer bliss in receiving yet another woobie to shake and destuff, pure delight in a
good chew treat."
"All these memories I hold close to my heart this night and forever
more. She was the most observant dog, scanning the skies and barking furiously at
crows and jets alike warning them from Libby airspace. She was a delightful loving
companion and it just wasn't enough time."
" So this is to you sweet one. Wait for me at the Gate."

Tigger
Scottish Terrier
August 23, 1999-December 6, 2010
"I will remember you
You will remember me
As your life passed on by
Weep not for the memories
Remember the good times that we had?
They slipped away so quickly
The first day you came to us
I knew I was yours and you were mine
I will remember you
You will remember me?
The sweet things you did
your love never hid
I'm so tired but I can't sleep
Thinkin' of you with love so deep
It's funny how we feel so much but we cannot say a word
We are screaming inside, but we can't be heard
I'm was afraid to love you, and so afraid to lose
Clinging to a past that doesn't let me choose
There were dark, deep, and endless nights
You gave me everything you had, oh you gave me light
I will remember you
Sweet Tigger always true
Until that day does come
And we'll finally be together home
Weep not for the memories
And I will remember you
You will remember me?
The sweet memories, the sweet memories
Oh how I loved you Tigger darling; you came to us when you
were just 2 years old, so very afraid of things and especially men.
I held you close and told you that there would never be anything to
fear again in the life you would live with us.
You were a beautiful silver brindle boy and you stuck so very
close to me from day one so I nicknamed you my velcro squirrel; oh that
everyone could experience the love and faithfulness of a canine companion
such as yourself; you did not want me out of your sight at all. Even when
I sneezed you would come and put your paws on me and look deeply into my
eyes to be sure I was okay. You lived a life full of zest with all the other
Sprinklescots and welcomed each newcomer with not a bit of malice at all.
You shared your toys, your food, your bed and anything that any of the others
might want; oh but that we humans could only be half as nice as the furkid that you were.
You have now been welcomed at the bridge I know by Skara Brae, Dundee,
Kerrye Skye, Ebonye, Winnie, Mattie, Smokey and Kellar and the circle is now
complete; you were part of the total of 8 that were here at one time together and such
joyous times we had then. Yall are now all together again and catching up on everything
that has happened. Have fun sweet darling boy and tell all the others about the fun things
you did here on earth and catch them up on their family here who still loves each and every
one of them dearly.
We will always love you dear sweet Tigger the Terrier and will miss you beyond
belief; you fought a very courageous battle and were a very valiant lad right up until the end.
You are now in the arms of the angels; rest sweetly my beloved boy.
Until we meet again my sweet boy "I will always love you"
