Skye
January 8, 1994 - April 16, 2002
Miss Skye, you came to us in January, 1994, a little spitfire of a scottie with all the traits that we have grown to love about our special breed. From the milk gravy on your beard to trying to dig to China in the back yard and the muffled marble growling you did, you were always so very special to us. To be able just to say "sugars" or "nite, nite" to you and be just covered with scottie kisses was just beyond belief.
How were we to ever know that we would have to go through with a long good-bye when you were diagnosed with Cushing's Disease. However, it was not that disease that took you from us but your huge heart that finally gave way to crossing the Bridge.
I always wish that I could have gotten to you before you left us just to give you one more hug and many more kisses. You left us with a very sweet son and grandson but they can never fill that huge scottie shaped hole in our hearts. You were that "special" love kid that sometimes one only finds once in a lifetime.
We miss you sweet lady, especially on a cold winter night where you used to snuggle so closely with us and the warmth was beyond belief. We also miss your soprano voice in the daily a-roo-oo's that the others have carried on.
I know that you are just having a wonderful time at the Bridge, as you were always Miss Social Butterfly. And I know that sometimes you are nearby; the silver cord that connects us to that Rainbow Bridge will never be broken.
Until we meet again, Miss Skye, we send our love, hugs and kisses.
